Nanded RPF gets 7 two-wheelers for patrolling

The Nanded division of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has received seven two-wheelers for effective patrolling. The vehicles were handed over to the RPF staff by divisional security commissioner Sachin Veenu Deo during a function held on Wednesday.

“While the RPF personnel discharge their duties in trains and on railway station premises, they do have to chase criminals at times. The two-wheelers will give an edge to the RPF unit at Nanded division,” Rajesh Shinde, public relations officer of Nanded division of the South Central Railway (SCR), said.

Nanded division has a total of 184 personnel deployed with the RPF. The RPF is the security force established by the Railway Protection Force Act, 1957, having a mandate of carrying out better protection and security of railway property.
