Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) has floated tenders for Mau-Shahganj second line project of Varanasi division.
The scope of work involves supply of ballast, track installation and linking (excluding supply of rails and sleepers, thick webs witches and special sleepers) S&T and OHE works from Mau 0.00 km to Azamgarh (including) 44.50 km (total – 44.50 km) Package-A2, in connection with Mau-Shahganj second line project of Varanasi division of North Eastern Railway in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The work will entail an investment of Rs 157.88 crore.
The scope of work for second tender envisages supply of ballast, track installation and linking (excluding supply of rails and sleepers, thick webs witches and special sleepers) S&T and OHE works from Azamgarh (excluding) 44.50 km to Shahganj 99.75 km (total – 55.25 km) Package-B2, in connection with Mau-Shahganj second line project. The work will be completed at a cost of Rs 189.8 crore.
The above works will be completed in a period of 30 months.
